Our computers are such a major part of our lives, that we can’t imagine life without them. We use them at work and then we use them at home. I often say to people that I carry my whole life with me on my laptop and I take care of it as if it were a child; well not to that extent, but close. Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day. That is the standard work week for an average American. When looking for a job, people will consider looking for a company that has good benefits, hours, and culture. One way companies are starting to leverage themselves with good hours and a work-life balance is by switching to a 4 day work week. Instead of working 8 hours a day for 5 days a week they work 10 hours a day for 4 days a week, typically either having Monday or Friday off. Switching to a 4 day work week from a 5 day work week has shown numerous benefits including; employees not taking as much time off, work-life balance, increase productivity, and saving money altogether.
