Ways to Stay Creative without a Computer: A Graphic Designer’s Perspective

Posted by Julio Oruna on Oct 2, 2019 9:30:00 AM

As many graphic designers may agree, one of the hardest parts of what we do is finding ways to stay creative and inspired. Our line of work is full of countless hours plugging away behind a computer monitor moving pixels around and trying to figure out the best solution for the design. Our computers are such a major part of our lives, that we can’t imagine life without them. We use them at work and then we use them at home. I often say to people that I carry my whole life with me on my laptop and I take care of it as if it were a child; well not to that extent, but close. I love working on computers and having everything at my disposal, but after some time this can get very draining.

Posted by Marley Penagos on Sep 17, 2019 12:30:00 PM

When someone mentions the word ‘work’, are the first words that pop into your head: mandatory, boring, and repetitive? Not for us at Pulse, and truly it shouldn’t be that way for you either. Yes, work may be mandatory (if you want to 1. Make money and 2. Keep your job) but it does not have to be boring, nor does it have to seem repetitive or never-ending. Be Present

Posted by Max Halberg on Sep 10, 2019 10:12:00 AM

Recently I participated in an exercise where I wrote my own eulogy.

Morbid? Maybe.

Before I put pen to paper, I started to contemplate.

What is the legacy I am leaving in this world?

Benefits of Working a Four-Day Work Week!

Posted by Courtney Wagner on Aug 14, 2019 10:00:00 AM

Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day. That is the standard work week for an average American. When looking for a job, people will consider looking for a company that has good benefits, hours, and culture. One way companies are starting to leverage themselves with good hours and a work-life balance is by switching to a 4 day work week. Instead of working 8 hours a day for 5 days a week they work 10 hours a day for 4 days a week, typically either having Monday or Friday off. Switching to a 4 day work week from a 5 day work week has shown numerous benefits including; employees not taking as much time off, work-life balance, increase productivity, and saving money altogether.
